من در شگفتم ! این اقا چطور رییس مرکز تحقیقات دبی است که نمی داند ایران به تنهایی از لحاظ ژئو پلتیک (سیاسی و جغرافیایی ) و نیز منابع انسانی و کانی و غیر کانی و تاریخ هشت هزارساله پر اوازه و ادبیات و معماری و فرهنگ جهانی خود ارزش و اعتبار جهانیش (حتی بدون در نظر داشت قدرت نظامی و هسته ای اش ) از همه کشورهای برادر و دوست و مسلمان همسایه و یا غیر همسایه بالاتر و مهمتر است؟!!!. انشالله ایشان تاکنون به اشتباه خود پی برده و توبه و معذرت خواهی خواهند نمود هر چه باشد انسان جایز الخطاست !!!.

GOP senators: US, not Israel, should attack Iran ‘if
necessary’

Two senior Republican senators say the United States, and not Israel, should attack Iran if military action becomes "necessary."
They also say a simple strike at the country's nuclear capability wouldn't be enough -- the US would have to launch an "all-or-nothing" war against Iran with the aim of crippling the country's military capabilities.
"I think an Israeli attack on Iran is a nightmare for the world, because it will rally the Arab world around Iran and they're not aligned now. It's too much pressure to put on Israel," Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told Fox News' Chris Wallace.
He continued: "If the sanctions fail, and Iran's going down the road to get a nuclear weapon, any Sunni Arab state that could, would want a nuclear weapon. Israel will be more imperiled. The world will change dramatically for the worst. Military action should be the last resort anyone looks at, and I would rather our allies and us take military action if it's necessary."
But Graham doesn't think an attack should be limited to airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities. "If we use military action against Iran, we should not only go after their nuclear facilities. We should destroy their ability to make conventional war. They should have no planes that can fly and no ships that can float," said Graham.
Sen. Saxby Chambliss, Republican of Georgia, agrees.
"The problem with military action also is that you're probably not going to be able to stop the production of uranium by just a simple airstrike," Chambliss said on Fox News Sunday. "Lindsey's right. It's an all or nothing deal. And is it worth that at this point in time, when we know they have the capability? We can slow them down, but a full-out military strike is what it would take," said Chambliss.

You BET it wouldn't "be enough" because the goal ISN'T their nuclear
capability.
Remember Iraq? They used to be the worlds 4th largest military force. Iran is
no pushover, either.
So, you can't just knock them over with an air strike or two.. It just doesn't
work that way.
What you have to do is what we did to Iraq and our puppet Saddam. There are
steps to follow and Bill Clinton played his role in perfect synchronicity with
the Bush's.
1) Create The Pretext.
Americans HATE stupid wars, so you have to blame them for something and tie it
to our national interest in some way. With Saddam, it was fake 9/11 ties. You
need something similar here. A pending nuclear threat may be enough to get the
ball rolling, but there's going to have to be a "final straw" moment
that serves as the pretext. It can be anything from an attack on our troops to
some act of terror against us or one of our allies.. But you need something.
Frankly, it would be nice if they would invade somebody.. But they aren't that
stupid.
2) Attack and do MASSIVE damage.
We're NOT just after the nukes here..and, honestly.. Since they both signed and
ratified the NNPT, they have a right to those anyway. Along with limited
enrichment. No, what we want is to fuck up their infrastructure and turn their
military machine into junk. Remember the "column of death" from GW1?
We didn't do that to kill those people. We did it to turn the world's 4th
largest Army into a smoldering ruin. But it doesn't stop there.
THEN, you want to fuck up their infrastructure and make their lives miserable..
Just like we did in Iraq. Now why the fuck would we do that? Simple.. After
they're all miserable, we're going to find disparate factions within Iran and
pit them against one another. Who do you think REALLY started the secretarian
violence? Who funded it? Why do you suppose they kept catching US and UK troops
doing bad things to the people we were supposed to be liberating? Why were the
ammo dumps left unguarded.. BECAUSE YOU WANT THEM TO KILL EACH OTHER! That's
why.. It makes the remainder easier to control.. PLUS, you get to re-build
everything you destroyed. Cha-Ching!
3) Sanctions, sanctions, sanctions.
Like Iraq, these guys have oil.. So you want to lock them down as tight as you
can and keep them miserable. Sanctions, like the stupid ones we slapped on
Saddam, are the tool of choice. Do you think he ever missed a meal because of
them? Hell no.. But it kept him from rebuilding his army and his
infrastructure.. It will help fuel the low grade civil war we are going to
start and fund as well. You would be surprised what can be accomplished with a
couple of false flag attacks and some media support.
4) The "liberation"
It's important to keep the rhetoric up, so as to de-humanize your opponent.
He's a holocaust denying wild man who was set to take over the whole region
with zillions of NUKES!!!! ZOMG! Now, ideally. We would never ACTUALLY have to
do this ourselves. We would merely help the situation over there deteriorate
until a coup was possible. Sometimes, like with Saddam and Chavez, that doesn't
work out so good.. Despite our best efforts. In those instances, contingency
plans might include an invasion or funding a proxy war. If Ahmadinejad really
does have jewish roots, he may be holding the door open for us in this regard.
But regardless, if we go, we're not going to stop with the nuke plants or even
the military apparatus. It's going to be a full blown attack on civilian
targets and infrastructure too, in an effort to lay the groundwork for their
complete capitulation at some future point. Remember, it took a decades worth
of sanctions under Clinton to soften Saddam up. Only when it looked like those
sanctions might be lifted did we act.

If it is nuclear proliferation that we are trying to control, it would make a whole lot more sense to take out Israel and it's 250 - 350 nuclear warheads already in existence than to take out Iran that has diddly. Besides, Iran signed the nonproliferation treaty and is allowing inspections. Israel is NOT allowing inspections, so which of the two is more dangerous?

start WWIII. They seem pretty hellbent on attacking Iraq, Iran, etc. What
scares me the most is that there are many armageddonphiles among Graham and
Chambliss' constituency who are praying for any war that involves the mention
of Palestine (Israel); holy wars in Iraq, Iran, et al. are what they salivate
for.
Alas, Graham is an idiot, he says that an Israeli attack on Iran would draw the
ire of the "Arab World". This statement mirrors the typical ignorance
that Republicans have about the world they live in (and also illustrates how
narrow their world-views are). First, Iran is NOT an Arab country, yes there
are some who live in Iran, but a majority of the people who live there aren't
any more Arab then the people who live in Afghanistan or Pakistan. I think he
probably means Muslim world which is also ingenious since it implies that all
who practice the Muslim faith are a)united in their beliefs (which they are
not) and b)all aligned against Israel, which is also questionable (albeit, much
of world opinion has already placed Israel pretty low - but look out U.S., were
quickly on our way to joining them). Truly, if Israel did attack Iran
unprovoked, then they would rightfully draw world-wide condemnation (not just
among the "Arab world"). And what makes these myopic politicians
think that it would be any different if the U.S. did it instead. As long as
they keep following IAEA and UN guidelines and playing by the rules, then what
right do we have to attack, especially since Iran has never attacked us?
Pre-emptive war was a bad idea with Iraq and its an even worse idea with Iran.

Iranians are largely pro western in nature. Far more so than americans are
being led to believe. In fact many aren't even so gung ho islamist... there are
other philosophies and religions in Iran suppressed by the islamist regime.
Iranians are chafing under the current system.
An attack...in fact, "an all out war" with Iran would put pro
western iranians in a difficult position. The stupidity of those in both
parties is in blindly acting as facilitators of the wishes of AIPAC which is
pretty much the far right Likud Party's Washington lobby.
The Likud Party are cold blooded warmongers and its a mistake to act on their
behalf.
I understand their worries about a nuclear armed Iran... given the Likud's way
of not getting along with their neighbors, they should worry.
And I don't disagree that Ahmadinejad's rabid anti jewish attitudes(despite
revelations of his own true origin) do pose a threat ...but it should be
apparent enough that most iranians do not accept Ahmadinejad's presidency and
that he's being imposed on them.
I think it would be better to support the iranian opposition's efforts to
enforce democracy through mass actions and not alienate them by declaring war
on them.
Graham is such an asshat!

As usual, Senators Lindsey Graham, John McCain, and Joe Lieberman are
quick to call for an attack on Iran and the military escalation of the war in
Afghanistan. These guys come from states that are heavily invested in the
military, military equipment and supply, and private military contracting.
The hawks' answer to every problem is to ramp up the war machine and rush to
war. Just look where that got us in Iraq and Afghanistan- quagmires! These are
the same Friends of Bush who accuse Obama of "rushing into"
healthcare reform and want him to slow down and start over after a year of
debate and discussion! This is the crew that cheered on George W. Bush's
"Axis of Evil" foreign policy and "Bring 'em on!" diplomacy,
supported the invasion of Iraq, and couldn't get enough of the "war on
terror." Notice that not one of these "fiscal conservatives," so
concerned with "generational debt" mentions the cost of bombing
Iranian nuclear facilities and dealing with the subsequent war with Iran and
its allies. None of them breathes a word about the cost of adding 40,000-60,000
new troops (that we don't have) in Afghanistan. This is exactly how Bush, with
the support of his Republican friends Lindsey, John, and Joe, increased the
national debt by 50%- deficit spending for 2 wars, Medicare Part D, and tax
breaks for the wealthiest 2% of Americans.

own. They can't fund an attack, even if they could launch it. That would be the

However, this is problematic because the DEMOCRATS are the ones who played
goalie for George W Bush's wars of aggression and his fathers war, as well.
They kept the sanctions on Iraq. They did it all by themselves! They're
accomplices!
On the big issues, we don't HAVE two parties.. On every issue from the wars, to
NAFTA, to TARP, right down the line.. We aren't being represented in DC at all.
I mean, come on.. If fucking TARP didn't prove it, then what more can you
possibly need?

Iran can not be allow to get operating nuclear weapons. The regime, and its empowering secular rulers are nuts. As bad as the options are, letting them get much further would be irresponsible. They are merely running out the clock in a devious and transparent exercise that is clear to all observers. The stakes are as high as they can get, and the costs in all aspects later shall only be greater by many magnitudes. If these weapons are acquired, there is a very high propensity for their use - the dynamics of restraint that we rely on other nuclear states to follow, in their own self-interest, may not be applicable here. It is unfortunate that the Bush Administration made such misjudgments - but those mistakes cannot be cause for U.S. and world policy makers to avoid one of the most important and difficult decisions of a generation. Perhaps the answer is not an attack, but whatever transpires must prevent Iran's acquisition, or near acquisition of nuclear weapons. This should be considered an absolute.

That's some bold statement by someone who, if like Dodge Ball Cheney, would be the only threat they would be sweating was that FIFTH OR FOURTH DEFERMENT frome the draft, which was one of the requirements that would prevent them from getting a head start on the rest of the true patriots who by the way, didn't and wouldn't beg for a deferment, or call up dad's influence with some Senator or Head of State which would almost guarntee them any release from the obligation of serving military service, not to protect the mamouth corporations and their Facists running said corporations, but to protect family, the neighbor's familly and all those faceless citizen's that make up the fabric of this nation.
